For the record in the woods below Nant-y-Gamar Great Tit is busy feeding young GS Woodpeckers at nest hole!

This morning up here i heard and spotted a cool Juv Green Woodpecker,it was very vocal and in between from going from trees to trees it fed on the ground.

Hi Cidermaster, just saw this post and wondered if you think that Green Woodpecker still breeds up there or was this bird just dispersing?

This morning while up there with my Boxer Dog Jasmine a cracking male Yellowhammer showed well,my first one here since 2000! Also just 2 Meadow Pipit passed through,a hunting male Kestrel noted,and a Stock Dove.

Back track up here on 11th March a dapper male Stonechat was up here,on 13th 2 female Stonechat were presant.On 12th a loan Redwing passed through.And on 25th pair of displaying Stock Dove were observed and 3 Chough flew and called overhead.

Still no Wheatear up here yet,but 3 Sand Martins passed through this morning,as did several Swallows.

Good to hear that Green Woodpecker survives in the area. If only it would do the decent thing and yaffle somewhere near the Little Orme one morning!
