Great views of 5 Common Terns fishing right up close to the prom at high tide. Not a usual site for Llandudno.

Juvenile Med Gull this afternoon, seen in flight from a kayak and followed to confirm, eventually feeding on the sea while allowing approach to within 20 feet, very nice.
Whimbrel over Mostyn Ave., Craig y Don at 7.15 pm. :)

I heard probably the same Whimbrel going over the Little Orme just before your encounter, Mike!

Some vis mig going on this morning - albeit just a few Mipits. A Rock Pipit was feeding at the top of the beach on the prom this arvo. Dunnock back on territory singing too.
Moorhen over later calling at 1.45 a.m., not bad "in a local context", and another species of wildfowl after Pintail in the autumn. :-)

Several Redwing over calling tonight, probably disorientated in the murky mizzle.

Between the north shore and Mostyn Ave., a Chiffchaff called "chiff chaff" x 4, then flew west to the only other bush/tree for miles, then flew off again west. :)

A Willow Warbler sang for a while, gradually getting the hang of it before moving on. I almost always get the first one on either the 1st or 2nd of April in this area!

1 Redwing over last night, Sun 8th, a bit later than last year.
